Job description
Job Title: Cooks – Elite Airline Catering (Detroit Metro Airport)
Location: Detroit Metro Airport, and Belleville MI
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM weekends are required

Job Description:

Join an elite food service provider at Detroit Metro Airport, preparing and plating high-end meals for premium airline passengers. This role demands culinary precision, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Work alongside top chefs, ensuring each dish meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste for an exceptional in-flight dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and assemble gourmet meals following executive chef standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment, plating meals for airline service.
  • Ensure consistency, portion control, and food safety compliance.
  • Operate and maintain professional kitchen equipment in a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation protocols while handling high-quality ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to meet airline catering schedules and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Culinary experience in high-volume restaurants, catering, or airline food production.
  • Strong cooking, plating, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining top-tier food quality.
  • ServSafe or Food Handler certification preferred.
