This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the Public Safety Department and related areas as assigned. This position is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to enhance the safety of employees, visitors, and physical assets. Direct and monitor strategic initiatives to ensure highly reliable and safe Security & Safety programs are operational, continuously improving, cost-effective, competitive, and relevant to the community served. Serve as the system's subject matter expert, establish strategies, key metrics, customer service excellence standards, and service level agreements. Develop and implement policies, standard operating procedures and protocols, monitor program performance and performance improvement activities and ensure continual survey and regulatory readiness / compliance. Work collaboratively within the department and with other services and departments to create a system of quality health care.

In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Associate Safety related duties : Prevents workplace accidents and promotes health and safety awareness and education for employees. A management role that supervises employees focusing on tactical, operational activities within a specified area, with the majority of time spent overseeing area of responsibility, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of employees. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and / or indirect reports. A role that directs a department or small unit that includes multiple teams led by managers and / or team leaders. Responsibilities typically include : ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the Department, problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis, and requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

Pay Range : $122,301.82 - $155,933.24
