Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Pathologist to provide specialized services across two educational settings in San Tan Valley, AZ. This role requires dedication to supporting students with diverse needs, including those who are medically fragile.
Work schedule includes 40 hours per week divided between :
- 40% at a K-8 school with a caseload of approximately 68 students, including 15 medically fragile or multiple-orthopedic impairment disorder (MOID) students.
- 60% at an Early Childhood Learning Center serving around 65 to 80 preschool students, with caseload management adjusted by the addition of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key responsibilities :
Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses related to pathology for school-aged and preschool children.Collaborate with educators, healthcare providers, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans.Monitor and document student progress and adjust strategies accordingly.Ensure compliance with relevant educational and medical regulations.Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to align services and supports for optimal student outcomes.Qualifications :
Professional credentials and licensure as a Pathologist.Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or clinical settings.Knowledge of medically fragile conditions and ability to manage complex caseloads.Strong communication skills to interact with students, families, and professional teams.Ability to work effectively across multiple sites and adapt to varying caseload demands.This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the well-being and educational development of children with specialized needs.
