Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a HVAC Systems Engineer on behalf of our client, a Pittsburgh based engineering consultant. Position Description : -Perform site investigation to document the existing condition of mechanical systems within the project area.-Perform heating and cooling load calculations based on the project requirements.-Review code requirements that are associated with the project and adapt the mechanical system design accordingly.-Write project specifications, engineering studies, and other summary reports.-Utilize CAD to draw mechanical systems to suit the project requirements.-Review of construction submittal documents that are associated with the project.-Perform construction site review and write project construction reports ('punch lists').
Required Qualifications : -Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Design.-Five (5) or more years of relevant experience-Proficient with Microsoft Office products.-Good verbal and written communication skills.-Must be proficient in AutoCAD (2018 version - minimum).-Working knowledge of Mechanical Building Code, FGI Guidelines, and various ASHRAE Standards.-Able to demonstrate an ability to multitask, being an effective team member, work with minimal supervision, and follow instructions.
