Level Descriptions

Level I : Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate, timely, in the correct manner.

Level II : Consistently achieves all of the objectives of this position. This individual also provides mentoring and direct day-to-day supervision to level 1 positions.

Senior : Highly experienced in the position. Advanced awareness of the technical needs of controls system programming, integrations to other systems, and very sophisticated HVAC strategies if working in the control field. Provides mentoring and direct supervision when required on projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler system
• Read and interpret fire sprinkler drawings
• Cut, groove, and thread fire sprinkler piping
• Ensure all work complies with applicable NFPA codes
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
• Perform service and inspections based on NFPA 10, 12, 13 17, 17A, 25 and 2001.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and describe them to owners and service managers for repairs.
• Monitor and assure progress and completion of all assigned tasks.
• Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provide service support on existing installations ensuring systems continue to meet existing building codes.
• Assist Sales team during estimating phase including potential product or system demonstrations.
• May perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30 to 40 feet from ground level, as necessary.
• On-call rotation
• Occasional out-of-town travel
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.

Be able to lift up to 50lbs+.

Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.

Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.

Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec's vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle.

Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.

This role involves frequent work in outdoor settings, mechanical or equipment rooms, and potentially extreme weather conditions. Regular exposure includes live voltage, moving mechanical parts, heavy machinery, and wet or humid environments. Work may also involve elevated or precarious locations, exposure to airborne particles, fumes, electrical hazards, and vibrations. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures (hot or cold), and loud noise levels is to be expected.
