NPORT partners with the NYC Department of Education (DOE) to place qualified healthcare professionals in public and private schools throughout New York City. We are seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) who are ready to support student health, safety, and success in DOE school settings.

Job Summary : As a school nurse placed in a DOE school, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day student health needs, responding to medical situations, and collaborating with school personnel to support a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities :

Provide daily health care to students and staff in a DOE school setting

Administer prescribed medications and treatments per DOE protocols

Maintaining accurate student health records,

Managing chronic health conditions

Performs mandated health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis)

Communicate effectively with parents

Acting as a liaison with families and community providers

Support infection control, immunization compliance, and wellness education.

Requirements :

Active NYS RN license (Required)

Current CPR / BLS Certification

Fingerprint Clearance through the NYC DOE (or willingness to obtain)

Prior experience in pediatric, school, or community nursing preferred

Ability to work independently in a school setting

Minimum 2-year direct nursing care required
