Job Summary
The NOC Systems Analyst monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots Lifepoint Health's enterprise network systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. This role primarily supports evening and night shift operations in a 24x7 environment. Key responsibilities include using network monitoring tools to detect and resolve issues, performing routine maintenance and updates, configuring hardware, and collaborating with IT teams to optimize the network infrastructure. The analyst also provides technical support, documents network configurations, and responds to alerts and outages to safeguard company data and ensure business continuity.
Minimum Education
- Associate degree in Computer Networking or equivalent work experience
Minimum Work Experience
At least 1 year of experience supporting and monitoring network systems, servers, or storage in an enterprise environmentPrevious NOC experience strongly preferredRequired Skills & Qualifications
Technical knowledge of TCP / IP, routers, switches, firewallsExperience with network troubleshooting and security best practicesCertifications : CCNA or CompTIA Network+ preferredStrong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExperience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, HP Service Manager, Cherwell)Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneNote)Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Microsoft SCOM, Tivoli ITM, SolarWinds Orion, LogicMonitor)Basic understanding of broadband / fiber circuits, DHCP services, LANsKnowledge of Microsoft server operating systemsWorking knowledge of Cisco devices; Fortinet experience preferredExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to provide remote support and guide end users through troubleshootingEssential Functions
Monitor LAN / WAN systems, routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP systems, servers, storage, backup, operating systems, and core applicationsUse performance monitoring tools to detect outages, failing equipment, and network performance issuesRespond promptly to incidents, outages, and performance alertsCategorize and escalate issues based on business impactNotify customers and third-party service providers of issues and remediation statusTroubleshoot remote site outages and coordinate with ISPs and network engineersCoordinate replacement and configuration of failed network equipmentSchedule tech dispatches with third-party vendors for remote site troubleshooting and equipment replacementDocument all troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and escalation processesManage physical access to the Louisville Data Center, including vendor and IS personnel accessAdminister corporate printers and print queues, including DHCP reservations, DNS records, and printer configurationsExecute basic server management tasks via VMWare or RDPSupport multiple technical teams in a 24x7 operational environment , with a focus on evening / night shift coverageCoordinate network cutovers and upgrades to minimize service disruptionsCollaborate with corporate IS departments to improve network functionality and identify underperforming equipmentCollaboration & Support
