Must-Have :

Candidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to the start of the position.

Candidates must demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.

Understanding sterile techniques is crucial for success in this position.

Description :

This position requires floating between multiple emergency room locations in the area.

Travelers will be informed in advance about their reporting location.

All nurses are expected to complete training that includes simulations for specialized skills.

Every nurse must be competent in maintaining a sterile field as these skills are frequently performed.

Nurses will also receive education on other procedures, though competency assessments are not required for those areas.

The staff-to-patient ratio is 4 : 1.

There is a weekend work requirement of every other weekend.

Availability during holidays may be needed.

Scrub color is galaxy blue.

Ventilator experience is required.

Lab draws are performed by emergency room staff.

There is no IV team present.

Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours each.

Floating between locations is required for this position.

Specific orientation for each floor will be provided.

Candidates are expected to adhere to all policies and procedures during their employment.
