Overview
Seeking an experienced Licensed Land Surveyor / Manager to lead field and office operations for civil and transportation projects across the Triad region. You'll oversee multiple crews, manage project delivery, and partner with municipal and NCDOT clients while supporting a growing regional practice.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise multiple field crews and office technicians.
- Manage QA / QC, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
- Collaborate with NCDOT and municipalities on roadway and utility corridor surveys.
- Mentor staff through training and performance development.
- Support proposal preparation and client relationship management.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's preferred.North Carolina PLS or exam eligibility within six months (exam fees paid).12+ years of survey experience; 5+ in a leadership role.Strong DOT / municipal project background.Proficient with Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D .Knowledge of federal, state, and local survey standards.Preferred
Subsurface utility locating / designating.LiDAR, aerial mapping, or sUAS experience.Compensation & Benefits
Salary $85,000 - $145,000 , commensurate with experience.ESOP participation and 401(k) with match.Medical, dental, vision starting first of the month after 30 days; HSA options.Sign-on bonus $5,000 $10,000 after 90 days (usable for relocation).45 - 50 hour work week, PTO, tuition support, professional development reimbursement.Working Conditions
Office-based with periodic field visits and occasional travel. Must be able to lift 25 lbs when assisting in the field.
