Multimedia Journalist

Job Description

KMPH is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist to join our team in Central California. Join us and hone the skills you need to take your career where you want to go! We are looking for a candidate who thinks outside the box and elevates their storytelling with enhanced content on our digital and social platforms. Candidate must be willing to work weekend nights and fill-in as an anchor as needed. Being able to produce a newscast is required.

Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, and contributing content to KMPH's digital and social platforms.

Skills and Experience :

• Sharp news judgment
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Strong writer with the ability to learn how to produce newscasts to work as a fill-in as needed.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

The base salary compensation range for this role is $17.00-$24.00 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
