Patient Attendant Position

Float + Schedule : PRN Night; minimum 3 shifts per 6 week schedule; 12.5 hour shifts + Hospital : Ascension Saint Thomas Hospitals (Midtown / West / Rutherford / Westlawn / River Park) + Location : Nashville, Murfreesboro, McMinnville, TN (must be able to work all locations listed) Please only apply to the Patient Attendant position that matches your desired schedule.

Responsibilities

Performs basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member. Assists in calming and / or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion. Remove visible hazards and / or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate. Record all observations.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration : BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred. Education : High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note : Required professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
