Job Description :

Roles and Responsibilities :

Day-to-Day Community Management :

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Gaming Discord, ensuring that conversations are moderated in a respectful, inclusive, and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Publish engaging content, monitor discussions, and enforce community guidelines to foster a safe, welcoming environment.

Community Programming & Engagement Activities :

  • Plan and execute interactive initiatives such as polls, AMAs, watch parties, and themed events to drive member participation and strengthen community bonds.
  • Member Recognition & Retention :

  • Identify, acknowledge, and reward active community members through recognition programs, shoutouts, or incentives.
  • Develop strategies to encourage ongoing positive contributions and nurture brand advocates.

  • Volunteer Moderator Team Leadership :

  • Manage and provide support to a team of 12 volunteer moderators.
  • Guide them in making decisions regarding community management actions such as muting, banning, or de-escalating conflicts.
  • Ensure alignment on enforcement of rules, consistency in decision-making, and a professional, community-first approach.
  • Communication & Collaboration :

  • Act as the central point of contact for moderation updates, brand initiatives, and community-related communications.
  • Share relevant updates with the community team and ensure smooth alignment with broader brand strategy.
  • Server Innovation & Strategy :

  • Develop and implement new strategies to keep the Discord server current with the latest platform features, processes, and best practices.
  • Regularly evaluate server structure, roles, and functions to optimize community engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration :

  • Partner with the social media and marketing teams to design and execute integrated community activation strategies, ensuring consistency across platforms and campaigns.
  • Content & Communication
  • Content Creation & Publishing :

  • Draft, schedule, and publish engaging and brand-aligned posts across Discord, ensuring consistency with the broader content calendar and campaign timelines.
  • Community Listening & Feedback Analysis :

  • Monitor community sentiment, identify recurring themes or concerns, and surface actionable insights to internal teams. Provide recommendations based on trends to inform community strategies and product marketing.
  • Collaborative Campaign Execution :

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and partner teams to align messaging, amplify campaigns, and extend promotional efforts through community channels.
  • Events & Activations

    Event Planning & Execution :

  • Support the planning and execution of online events, including game nights, watch parties, and other interactive experiences that strengthen community ties.
  • Cross-Team Coordination :

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure event logistics, scheduling, and technical requirements are handled effectively.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting :

  • Measure event participation and engagement.
  • Compile post-event reports that capture highlights, community feedback, and lessons learned to inform future events.
  • Sweepstakes & Giveaways Management :

  • Manage the setup, approval, and execution of Gleam sweepstakes or similar campaigns, coordinating with agency partners to ensure compliance and successful delivery.
  • Operations & Reporting

    Process Management & Documentation :

  • Maintain content calendars, activity trackers, and operational documentation to ensure organized and efficient workflows.
  • Performance Measurement :

  • Review and analyze weekly and monthly reports on community engagement, member growth, and sentiment.
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership and recommend optimizations.
  • Moderator Coordination & Standards :

  • Ensure ongoing alignment of volunteer moderators with community standards and operational procedures.
  • Provide ongoing training and resources to improve their effectiveness.
  • Influencer & Partner Support

    Influencer Engagement :

  • Assist with influencer-led activations within the community, including collaborations, giveaways, and special events.
  • Ensure smooth execution and alignment with brand objectives.
  • Partner Collaboration :

  • Support partner activations by coordinating planning, logistics, and execution for community-driven activities.
  • Build strong relationships with partners to create meaningful and mutually beneficial community experiences.
  • Amplification of Influencer / Partner Campaigns :

  • Ensure influencer and partner content is effectively integrated into community platforms, maximizing reach, visibility, and engagement.
