Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Designer

Englewood, CO

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Designer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality design and drafting services to support complex engineering projects across the energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. This role supports the organization's mission of delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions by providing advanced I&C design expertise from concept to completion. You will contribute to project success through technical excellence, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement and safety.

This position is in Englewood Colorado and not eligible for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver discipline-specific instrumentation and controls (I&C) designs, drafting, and 3D modeling services in alignment with company standards, client expectations, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Apply recognized offshore and onshore design principles, standards, and practices in all aspects of I&C engineering.
• Interpret and incorporate data from P&IDs, one-line diagrams, loop diagrams, and other technical documentation.
• Conduct site visits and field verification to validate and update marked-up drawings.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, construction teams, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams throughout the design lifecycle.
• Support development of deliverables such as design drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, schedules, and material take-offs.
• Utilize electronic document management systems (EDMS) to organize and manage design documentation.
• Ensure design output is timely, accurate, and within defined scope and budget.
• Assist in the development and review of final project documentation, incorporating client feedback and internal quality standards.
• Continuously seek and implement process improvements, technological advancements, and innovative approaches to enhance design efficiency and integrity.
