Job Summary

The Director of Operations will work closely with the SVP of Operations and ensure restaurant operations are efficient and profitable while delivering unparalleled customer service across all restaurants in the Detroit Metropolitan area.

The Director of Operations will assist in all aspects of business operations and venue management, events and sales, entertainment, security, and procurement to ensure that the organization is on track to achieving its vision and goals.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide strategic leadership to achieve and exceed financial and operational targets set by senior management.
  • Direct and supervise all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational efficiencies in all restaurants within the Detroit Metropolitan area.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant managers and staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of restaurant performance, maintaining compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Develop and enforce operational standards and guidelines, including service, product preparation, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Forecast food and beverage requirements, manage expenditures, and analyze financial data to optimize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards, legal regulations, and maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance staff skills and capabilities.
  • Drive customer satisfaction initiatives, gather feedback, and implement strategies to enhance guest experiences.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, address employee concerns, and conduct performance reviews.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in multi-unit restaurant management, with a focus on fine dining.
  • Proven track record of success in a Director of Operations or similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and systems, with hands-on experience leading teams.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities, with a focus on driving results.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience with P&L management and budget forecasting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel within Michigan as needed.
