Optomi, in partnership with an industry leading client, are seeking an experienced and dynamic Network Operations Center (NOC) Leader to oversee the global 24 / 7 operations of their NOC team. This role is critical to ensure the performance, availability, and security of their IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, proven leadership capabilities, and a results-driven mindset to lead incident response, proactive system monitoring, and continuous service improvement.
Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and manage a global NOC team, including managers, engineers, analysts, and support personnel.
- Ensure 24 / 7 operational coverage and high availability of network systems, devices, firewalls, circuits, and other infrastructure components.
- Develop and enforce NOC procedures, escalation protocols, and shift schedules to support seamless operations.
- Oversee real-time system monitoring, responding to alerts, outages, and performance issues with urgency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve incidents and manage change activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network infrastructure, operational processes, and incident records.
- Produce and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and incident trends to drive continuous improvements.
- Lead initiatives to enhance automation, monitoring capabilities, and staff training programs.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices for incident, change, and problem management.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent experience.5+ years in network or infrastructure operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.Strong understanding of core networking technologies (TCP / IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls).Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Splunk, or similar platforms.Familiarity with incident response and change management frameworks.Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and juggle multiple priorities effectively.Preferred :
ITIL certification and / or networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).Experience working in cloud or hybrid-cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud).Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
