Raytheon is looking for a dynamic and motivated Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities team, working on various sensor and effectors programs including Patriot, LTAMDS, SPY-6, and SM-2. This position provides a unique chance to engage in the entire product lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Every day presents new challenges where you'll collaborate across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, conduct data analysis, and implement effective solutions. Your role will significantly influence the success of mission-critical defense systems, with your hands-on involvement ensuring optimal system functionality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Core Systems Engineering : Develop requirements, algorithms, operational concepts, and define system interfaces.
- Lead Testing Efforts : Create and execute test plans, procedures, and documentation for both simulated and real-world environments.
- Troubleshooting and Analysis : Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through comprehensive data analysis and debugging.
- Drive Performance : Collaborate with various teams to enhance performance and resolve system issues.
- Modeling and Simulation : Develop and execute models to predict system performance, supporting verification and validation processes.
- System Integration : Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and performance impact.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership : Collaborate with and lead a multidisciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and functionality.
- Documentation and Communication : Generate integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and convey results effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
- Data Analysis : Conduct statistical and numerical analyses of radar performance data to ensure optimal system functionality and validation of requirements.
- Present Findings : Communicate technical results and solutions to leadership and clients.
- Support Missions : Willingness to travel as needed (up to 20%) to assist mission execution at various locations, including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
Qualifications Required :
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.Experience with systems software, hardware, requirements, integration, or testing.Capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. government issued security clearance.Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.Experience in model-based engineering methodologies.Background in developing and managing technical requirements.Proficiency in scripting and functions with MATLAB.Experience creating technical documentation, including test plans and reports.Hands-on experience in an integration lab, test facility, or field support for integration / verification.Working knowledge of evaluating systems in simulated environments.Experience interfacing with internal and external customers.What We Offer :

The salary range for this position is between 66,000 USD and 130,000 USD, based on experience levels and other factors.
