As an LVN in this role, you will play a key role in patient care by supporting clinical operations, administering vaccines, assisting providers, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Administer vaccinations and injections (including influenza, COVID-19, and TB test placements).
Obtain and record vital signs.
Provide emergency care support alongside the on-site provider in emergent situations.
Perform patient registration, intake, and checkout.
Support waiting room management, patient outreach calls, and appointment scheduling.
Serve as chaperone during sensitive exams as needed.
Prepare the clinic and waiting area to ensure an optimal patient experience.
Contribute to the mission of helping people on their path to better health through compassionate, patient-centered care.
Schedule Information
Work schedules are created in 6-week blocks following the initial 3 weeks of training / orientation.
Shifts range from 710 hours, depending on clinic needs and operating hours.
Typical schedule includes two or three weekdays and every other weekend.
Some major holiday coverage is required.
Compensation
Pay : $37.17 per hour
Contract Position : Conversion to permanent employment is possible but not guaranteed.
Required Qualifications
Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must not expire within 30 days of start date).
Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
Previous experience administering immunizations and providing vaccine education.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation.
Ability to take vital signs and perform basic clinical tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings.
Experience using Epic EMR.
Education
Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program, approved by a state agency or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) at the time of completion.
