Family Nurse Practitioner
Our Primary Care Health Center is a FederallyQualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 17 sites in Tucson and PimaCounty.
The FNP promotes and maintains patients’ health by providing medicalservices to all age groups to the extent which licensed and / or certified.
TheFNP uses independent judgment in carrying out daily job responsibilities.
Education and Experience :
- Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice, with active license to practice in Arizona required.
- One year experience
- Candidate without the MSN, but whose Nurse Practitioner certification is current and was grandfathered-in prior to the Master’s degree becoming a requirement for the credential will be considered if they also have required hands-on experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Ability to effectively present and document information for patient population.
- Able to respond to questions from leadership, providers, managers, and members of the healthcare team.
- Must have sensitivity to low income and ethnic minority community.
- Ability to quickly assimilate, assess and act on upon new concepts, trends, and initiatives.
- Exhibit strong customer service skills.
- Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner in a variety of settings, meet people with diplomacy and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions in line with state and federal regulations.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and analyze documents, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to prepare and submit complete and succinct documentation necessary to the job.
