As a Quantitative Analytics & Model Development Analyst within PNC's Balance Sheet Analytics & Modeling Group, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Wholesale Model Monitoring Position
This position will facilitate the development of model monitoring systems for commercial risk rating models (PD, LGD and EAD) that have various applications across the bank including capital, stress testing (CCAR), reserves (CECL) and portfolio management. Primary activities include working with key stakeholders and developers to identify key performance monitoring plans and indicators, design and implement analyses that support back-testing and benchmarking, and present model performance results to management. This position will be a key participant in the following activities:
• Data preparation – Access and manipulate complex datasets across multiple data management systems and platforms.
• Statistical analysis – Identify, apply and communicate statistical techniques and concepts.
• Reporting and presentation – Create reports and narratives that synthesize and convey key points.
• Issue resolution – Investigate and remediate issues raised by independent validators. Perform root cause analyses and document /present results.
• Documentation – Maintain model monitoring plans and create process documentation.
• Team collaboration - Participate in cross-functional team initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a BS in a technically related field and 2+ years of related experience.
The following skills and experience are required:
• SAS, Python, R, SQL
• Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle
• Statistics and quantitative analysis
• Experience with commercial credit models (PD, LGD and EAD) is a plus.

Job Description
- Under general supervision, performs advanced quantitative analyses and models development to support decision-making by running quantitative strategies.
- Analyzes and develops new model frameworks by supporting the line of business. Refines, monitors, and reviews existing models. Conducts on-going communication with model owners and model developers during the course of the review. Works with large data to create models.
- Performs quantitative analysis and develops reports. Performs qualitative and quantitative assessments of all aspects of models including theoretical aspects, model design and implementation as well as data quality and integrity. Analyzes complex data and associated quantitative analysis.
- Uses quantitative tools and techniques to measure and analyze model risks and reaches conclusions on strengths and limitations of the model.
- Prepares and analyzes detailed documents for validation and regulatory compliance, using applicable templates.

Work Experience
