Job Details

Job Summary : Travel / Contract Registered Nurse position in Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Minimum Years of Experience : 2

Unit accepts 1st time travelers and locals.

Skills required : ICP Monitoring, Ventilator Management, Telemetry.

Staffing Ratios : 2 : 1; occasionally 3 : 1

Shift : 12 HOUR NIGHTS

Float Requirement : Yes, to other ICU's and intermediate units.

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend.

Job Requirements

Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification

State License Requirements : North Carolina Registered Nurse License

Schedule Information

Block Scheduling

Orientation : 24 hours

Unit Specific Information

Patient Diagnoses : Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit Patients

Special Equipment : EVD management, Ventilator management, Zoll temperature management / artic sun, PCAs

Unit Systems : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Additional Details

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite.

Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
