National Business Development Representative

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Business Development Representative to join our Commercial Waste Services team. This role is designed for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hunting-focused environment. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and establishing long-term partnerships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and Develop New Business : Actively identify, target, and engage potential clients to expand the company's customer base.
  • Sales Strategy Execution : Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas and revenue targets.
  • Build Relationships : Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand their needs and propose tailored waste management solutions. Educate prospects on service differentiation, pricing, and value during and after the sales process.
  • Conduct Market Research : Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Onsite Visits : Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects to present services, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Collaborate Internally : Work closely with Pricing & Implementation team to ensure seamless implementation of services for new accounts. Follow up after sales to achieve referrals and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain CRM Records : Track and document all sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward goals in the company's CRM system.
  • Track Productivity : Deliver accurate sales forecasts-weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Travel : Some regional travel expected, and occasional off hours / weekends for customer's needs.
  • Maintain : High level of integrity, commitment, and trust to exceed expectations in sales and retention of customer accounts.
  • Remote : Remote work with some office time expected.
  • Networking : Some networking events / trade show attendance required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in outside sales, in a hunting role. Experience in the waste & recycling industry or a related field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly driven and organized, with a proactive approach to prospecting and closing sales.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information.
  • Must be willing to travel locally within the assigned territory.

    Compensation Range : Minimum $80,000 Period : Yearly Currency : USD
