CAD Drafter

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you someone that enjoys designing one-of-a-kind environments with many different components? Can you interpret architectural and interior design prints and create shop drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks?

Then Volt has an AutoCAD Drafter position in Portland, OR for you!

This is a full time opportunity.

Hours 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM. M-F

As the AutoCAD drafter, you will produce shop fabrication drawings for custom fixtures / cabinets, millwork, retail architectural casework and ornamental metal utilizing AutoCAD or SolidWorks software programs.

Technological skills required :

• Experienced to Advanced AutoCAD capabilities
• Working knowledge or direct experience using 3D software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, Solid Edge
• Proficient in use of AutoCAD or SolidWorks. (If experience is with Solid Works primarily, also prefer having AutoCAD proficiencies.)
• Work from architectural and ID prints to generate accurate shop fabrication drawings.
• Able to utilize software shortcut features and efficiencies.
• Knowledge of architectural woodworking / architectural detailing.
• Ability to work from Architectural and ID prints or renderings to envision and generate accurate buildable shop fabrication drawings.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced high production environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as communicate with team effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft office.
• Must be able to read Architectural, Interior Design prints.

Other skills / experience desired but not essential :

• Cabinet making shop experience helpful.
• CNC programming, specifically by use of Mastercam, a plus but not required.

Pay Rate : $25.00 30.00 / hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
