Design Intern
Summary :
Sunham Home Fashions, a home textile company, is seeking a Design Intern that will support and assist the Design Studio based in mid-town NYC with bedding and bath product design and creation of technical packs.
Seeking local candidates only as the intership will continue through the end of the year ++.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare professional presentation boards
- Organizing fabric, samples and design materials (pantone and color books, etc..)
- Light work on computer assisting with tech packs and other design related projects
- Helping to maintain in-house artwork library.
- Running errands to fabrics stores, design supply stores, etc
- Preparing developmental packages for our overseas offices
- Showroom set.
Skills
- Degree in textile Design / graphic design or related field
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Nedgraphics
- Surface Design experience required.
- Creating presentations.
- Proficiency in PC or Mac based operations
- Solid verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
Part time schedule 2-4 days a week - we are flexible with days and start / end time
On-site position based in Sunham Home Fashions located in mid-town Manhattan
