Job description

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Nocturnist Physician to join our growing team at Davie Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an open ICU concept and manage 20-26 hospitalist beds.

Position Highlights :

  • Responsibilities :
  • Oversee all admitted hospitalist patients overnight.
  • Respond to and manage Rapid Responses and Codes.
  • Assess patients, develop treatment plans for acute events or changes in status.
  • Coordinate with nursing staff, addressing concerns and questions.
  • Provide thorough hand-off / sign-out at shift conclusion to day team.
  • Determine and arrange for transfers to tertiary hospitals when necessary, including contacting PAL line for support.
