POSITION TITLE : Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) Manager. REPORTS TO : Director of Recuperative Care. LOCATION : Arleta, CA. CLASSIFICATION : Exempt. SALARY : $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 (Depending on Experience). PERTINENT INFORMATION : Work Shift : Sunday - Thursday, 9 : 00AM-5 : 30PM; with flexibility to meet the needs of the nursing department and facility. All positions require background check, LIVE scan, and TB Test. Position to be filled as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Perform all essential nursing management functions with emphasis on quality of guest care, development of licensed staff, and oversight of day-to-day clinical and administrative activities for NHF Recuperative Care.
- Train, develop, and manage LVN / Medical Coordinator staff to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and company best practices.
- Collaborate with other managers and Nurse Practitioner Administrative to guide medical disciplines and strategic planning.
- Develop and implement health-related programming to enhance guest satisfaction and ensure continuity and quality of services according to treatment plans.
- Provide oversight of required documentation and records, respond to medical records audits, and track guest information in the database.
- Ensure documentation is maintained daily by Medical Coordinators and assistants; manage delegated caseloads.
- Maintain on-call flexibility to triage issues with the nursing department.
- Participate in case conferences, daily board reviews, and required staff trainings; collaborate with Social Services to reflect accurate census in bed board applications.
- Ensure TB screenings and cough logs are completed; ensure administrative hours are met for documentation.
- Model a positive professional image and adhere to dress code; foster continuous learning and professional growth.
- Maintain department budget with Director; manage staff time, attendance, PTO, and performance via regular supervision.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to triage concerns and develop resolutions for guest care; review and process timecards in compliance with CA wage laws.
- Remain flexible to schedule changes as needed and complete other responsibilities to support the department and program.
- Always follow NHF policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.Licensed Vocational Nurse licensed to practice in California and in good standing is required.Current American Heart Association BLS (CPR / First Aid / AED) required.Minimum 3 years of progressive management experience; strong clinical leadership in other roles will be considered.Organized, detail-oriented, able to handle confidential information, and able to interface effectively with all levels of management.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, meet deadlines, and follow through in a fast-paced environment.Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.TB testing and fingerprint live scan background required.Reliable transportation and ability to travel regionally to multiple Recuperative Care sites if applicable.Physical Requirements
Frequent standing and walking; occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulders, twisting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must communicate effectively and be able to hear alarms and verbal instructions. Ability to use emails, messages, and teleconferencing.
