Duration : 12 month contract to hire!
Location : Boise, ID (This is primarily a remote position. Successful candidate will need to work onsite for 50% of the first month, thereafter, reducing to one week onsite per quarter.)
Pay Range : $48.56-$59.13 ($102 000 - $130 000 annually)

Owner-rep Process Mechanical LEAD
As the facilities Mechanical Engineering Owner’s Representative, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ manufacturing in Boise, ID. You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment – in this role you would work on the client’s behalf to review designs, specs and drawings – provide feedback and comment.
Technical engineering responsibilities include editing client specifications, design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and support during construction and integration into the factory.
The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with client and site personnel, driving design and construction documents through the review process with a team.
Primary duties include the following :
- You will work on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ manufacturing. You and the other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure mechanical systems.
- Technical engineering responsibilities include design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet. The design may include retrofit of existing building systems including engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, and specification, and support during construction and integration into the factory.
- As the mechanical representative on a multi-discipline design team, your primary duty will be to review design packages consisting of P&IDs, layout drawings, details, and equipment plans followed by review of submittals, RFIs, and construction documents.
Comments / Special Instructions
This role is intended to be contract to hire. This role is Hybrid where candidates must be able to work on site the first couple weeks and afterwards travel to Boise once per quarter (travel flight, boarding, etc. cost covered). Prefer candidates as close to Idaho as possible but can sit anywhere in the US.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited UniversityAt least 7 years of practical application of mechanical facilities engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systemsAt least 5 years of design project delivery processes experienceAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teamsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experienceIdeally, you will also have :
At least 2 years of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanroomsProficient working knowledge of AutoCAD softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsForward-thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideasDemonstrated ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base Passion for buildings and construction3 years field experienceEIT or PE licensePhysical Requirements :
Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction.Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.
