Remote Operations Center Manager (Drone Tech.)
Our client is seeking a dynamic Remote Operations Center Manager (ROCM) to lead their 24 / 7 / 365 drone control room, focusing exclusively on the management of autonomous drone remote operations.
This role is perfect for a leader with a strong background in drone technology and operations management, who thrives in technology-driven, high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the build-out of their unique Remote Operations Center in WPB, Florida, including hiring, training, planning, and creating procedures and processes, while working to meet their customers' needs and regulatory requirements.
- Direct daily operations of our 24 / 7 control room, ensuring seamless and efficient operation of autonomous drone remote flights.
- Oversee all aspects of autonomous drone remote operations, including flight scheduling, operational compliance, mission effectiveness, and safety protocols.
- Provide direction to shift leads to ensure operational continuity and high performance across all shifts, particularly focusing on the unique demands and challenges of remote drone operations.
- Monitor remote drone operations continuously, addressing any technical or operational issues swiftly.
- Ensure the creation of accurate operational reports detailing performance metrics, incident logs, and maintenance records.
- Collaborate closely with technical support and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of up to 15 members, with a strong focus on developing expertise in remote drone operations and technology.
Requirements :
- At least 5 years of experience in managing an operations center.
- Experience in drone or unmanned aerial vehicle operations preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of drone technology, including flight control systems, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in assessing and managing risks associated with remote autonomous drone operations.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and optimize operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective teamwork and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, aerospace, engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications related to drone operations are highly preferred.
