As a Senior Risk Management Leader supporting EPX, you will work alongside colleagues in product, technology, and various risk teams to create solutions that enhance both internal and external customer experiences. You will play a significant role in implementing risk solutions that ensure Capital One's ongoing stability and success. Responsibilities include collaborating with a wide array of leaders and stakeholders to pinpoint existing and potential risks in a supportive environment that fosters new ideas and solutions.

In this position, you will utilize your technical expertise to assess our digital products and effectively manage associated risks. Your knowledge of risk methodologies and ability to cultivate relationships with business, tech, and risk stakeholders is essential. A customer-focused mindset is also crucial. Leaders in risk management at Capital One are highly motivated, bringing exceptional organizational, technical, leadership, and communication skills. You will enjoy significant exposure across business lines and the chance to engage with Executives in developing and implementing innovative strategies to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with Product and Tech teams, acting as a trusted advisor to support business initiatives, issue management, process improvement, control testing, and risk assessment activities.
• Assist Tech and Product Risk leadership in executing their strategic goals and services.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of business strategies, product offerings, services, and risk profiles.
• Evaluate technical products and manage risk assessment efforts based on technical and cybersecurity implications.
• Implement process enhancements including certification frameworks, hierarchy change management, change control, and risk reporting.
• Ensure independent escalation of risk management gaps, issues, and emerging risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide consultation on risks across first-line business partners, offering advice and guidance as required.
• Engage in criticality assessments and process evaluations.
• Manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively, tailoring messages to different audiences, including executive leadership.
• Foster collaboration, value diverse perspectives, and energize teams around shared goals.

Note : This role is not eligible for employment authorization sponsorship. The minimum and maximum salary ranges for this position are as follows : Richmond, VA : $175,500 - $200,300; New York, NY : $210,500 - $240,300; McLean, VA : $193,000 - $220,300. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on hours worked.
