Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping operations within a fast-paced pharmacy fulfillment environment. This role is responsible for leading a team of 16 or more employees, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely shipment of prescription orders while maintaining regulatory and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of 16+ shipping associates, runners, and support staff
• Oversee daily shipping workflow to ensure orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and controlled substance handling procedures
• Monitor productivity, quality metrics, and KPIs to meet departmental goals
• Coordinate with pharmacy, fulfillment, and quality teams to resolve order discrepancies and prevent delays
• Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and cross-functional capability
• Implement and maintain SOPs related to shipping, packaging, and carrier compliance
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors
• Manage staffing schedules to align with volume fluctuations and operational demands
• Address floor issues proactively and escalate concerns when necessary

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in shipping, fulfillment, or pharmacy operations
• Experience managing a team of 16 or more employees
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and shipping software
• Knowledge of pharmacy fulfillment processes and controlled substance handling is preferred
• Proven ability to lead in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze data and drive performance improvements

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in healthcare or pharmacy distribution
• Familiarity with SOP development and workflow optimization
• Demonstrated ability to improve productivity and reduce error rates

Work Environment: Fast-paced pharmacy fulfillment setting requiring strong attention to detail, leadership presence on the floor, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time Expected Hours: 44 hours per week Schedule: 8-hour shifts between 24/7 production, Monday through Sunday (flexibility required)

Pay Range $51,000 - $61,000 USD
