Staff Accountant - Winery Operations

A to Z Wineworks, LLC is hiring a Staff Accountant - Winery Operations to represent our Oregon brands of REX HILL, Erath, and A to Z Wineworks. We are looking for someone that demonstrates outstanding teamwork, collaboration, and is a proactive problem solver. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and dedication to continuous improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for accounting and financial operations for our three brands, delivering insights and empowering decision support. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive enhancements in financial systems. You will perform the month-end close, oversee excise tax reporting, and manage operational projects with energy and initiative. Additionally, you will also be expected to take on additional duties and special projects with enthusiasm.

Job Responsibilities :

Accounting

• Responsible for month-end closing and accruals in accordance with GAAP and is highly organized, timely, and accurate.
• Cross-functional accounting support for all departments, including sales, marketing, facilities, winemaking, and vineyards.
• Perform accounting functions related to cost accounting, tax, fixed assets (CAPEX), accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare documentation for third-party audits, lender field exams, and borrowing base certificates.
• Provide backup support for inventory management processes.

$70,000 - $77,000 per year

Qualifications

Experience 3 - 5 years : Experience in accounting and financial operations, CPA + 2 Years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)

Strong organization skills, self-starter, systems background, proficient in MS Office Suite. (required)

Experienced in accounting software such as JD Edwards, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, and SAP. (required)

This role is generally onsite at the winery, and some work will be done in a manufacturing environment with varying terrain. (required)

Physical requirements include the ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time, ability to lift, move and occasionally carry up to 45 pounds. (required)
