- Responsible for assigned core foodservice customer accounts. Owns the corporate customer relationships, responsible for assigned accounts' P&L and meeting annual volume plan, profit plan, and subsequent quarterly forecast.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes for all parties. Responsible for planning and prioritizing customer initiatives for execution and coordination.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with assigned customers and relationship building.
- Develop and lead business reviews with key customers, leveraging Saputo's full portfolio of products and services to introduce new value-creating ideas to Customers. Identify opportunities with new items, fill voids, grow share, enhance profit margin while building trust and partnership.
- Responsible for managing broker network in assigned territory, as well as local and headquarter distributor accounts. Will also manage local and regional restaurants and chain accounts, and dedicated to building, maintaining, and cultivating productive relationships with customers.
- Execute contract and supply agreements to deliver on customer expectations, while maximizing business value, anticipating challenges that might impact the implementation of customer agreements and identify mitigation tactics to prevent them.
- Negotiate multi-level and multi-functional account penetration, considering all relevant internal and external drivers to make profitable decisions.
- Negotiate field-based sales trade strategies and marketing programs.
- Plan, execute, close and follow up on negotiations in a manner that creates mutually beneficial outcomes, uncovering underlying customer and Saputo drivers.
- Leverage insights to identify and advance opportunities for foodservice customers. Oversee category management initiatives at the region and customer level and regularly present product recommendations and promotion strategies to customers.
- Provide competitive market intelligence and feedback on new products launches.
- Collaborate with Saputo's customer service, operations, quality assurance, transportation, and pricing & deductions teams.
- Maintain clear communication with Sales Operations on opportunities and challenges within assigned customers.
- Maximize sales margins by monitoring / assisting with A / R, credit issues, deductions, samples, etc.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience, qualifications, and skills :
Education - BS / BA Degree in related area. Not required but preferred.Experience - 5 plus years directly related experience in the food and beverage industry in any related exposure.Must have an understanding of the core distributor strategic label value proposition. Manufacturing experience preferred.Knowledge, skills and abilities should include : negotiation, insight-selling, presentation, communication, analytical, planning, and measurement in the food and beverage industry.Saputo and / or cheese and dairy product knowledge preferred.Food Broker Sales Agency experience required.Home or corporate office environment.Up to 50% travel.
