Under supervision of the Facility Services & Real Estate Engineering & Reliability Leader, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing support for operations and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operations of the facilities located at Indianapolis. The Maintenance Planner will review incoming work orders, ensure work is valid, seek necessary approvals, and help coordinate the work order to ensure it can be scheduled by the work leads. The maintenance planner will define work and ensure proper resources are in place to schedule work. The planner will also receive completed work orders and ensure all work process requirements were completed. This position is located at the Global Headquarters in Indianapolis.
Responsibilities
- Utilize CMMS system (eMaint) to issue, manage, track and validate maintenance activities on site
- Scope and coordinate the full extent of maintenance work needed : repair / preventative / predictive; after evaluating cost vs. benefit
- Develop cost / time estimates of planned maintenance work and compare actual time submitted
- Develop sourcing plans for all necessary parts, equipment, tools, documentation (SOPs), services to perform maintenance work
- Facilitate authorization of applicable maintenance procedures (confined space, elevated work, crane plans, shutdown notices, etc.)
- Review completed work orders to issue follow up work, assign labor / parts, and for required changes- new assets, job plan tasks updates, frequency changes, location changes, etc.
- Provide asset tags and receive asset data entry forms for replaced equipment
- Provide eMaint (CMMS software) support - work order portal, user accounts, equipment / location changes
- Provide technical expertise to site operations & maintenance of facility equipment / systems
- Collaborate with skilled trades leads, operations leader, maintenance leader, building managers and engineering team to ensure work order processes are executed
- Work closely with the site's Environmental Health & Safety team to ensure work orders are completed safely
- Other duties as become necessary to support company goals and / or projects
Required Qualifications
2+ years of facility, manufacturing or power plant maintenance experience1+ years of maintenance planning / schedulingExcellent communication skills, organizational and work coordination skills, and interpersonal skills are critical to role successAn associates degree or technical trade school certificate is requiredPreferred Qualifications
Understanding infrastructure and building systems including but not limited to site utilities, security, building management, R&D operations, environmental, insectary, R&D sciences, greenhouses, and a vast variety of research laboratoriesSelf-motivated with demonstrated personal initiative, excellent organizational skills, and a strong work ethicOutstanding problem-solving and analytical skillsInterest in learning new skills and Corteva business processes; investigating new technologies to support cutting-edge projectsSafety certifications / qualifications preferredJourneymen or Master Tradesman in at least one maintenance field (electrical, instrumentation, pipefitting, refrigeration, plumbing) preferredExperience in data analysis and report generation to support operational decision-making and performance trackingTechnical Skills
Ability to interpret technical vendor literature (installation, maintenance and operation manuals) and transfer information to critical work processesKnowledge of Building Management / Control SystemsWorking knowledge of piping and instrument drawings, electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment drawingsAdministrative experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., Maximo, eMaint)Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointSoft Skills
