Position Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for driving recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent across all departments within our expanding manufacturing facility. This position focuses on sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring managers throughout the selection process.
While the HR team manages onboarding and background checks, the Talent Acquisition Specialist ensures a strong candidate pipeline and seamless hiring experience up to the point of job offer. This position plays a key role in maintaining production capacity by ensuring a steady flow of qualified candidates for both immediate and long-term workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with department leaders to understand workforce needs and prioritize open positions.
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for both hourly and salaried roles.
- Create and manage job postings across multiple platforms (ATS, company website, job boards, and social media).
- Source candidates through proactive outreach, referrals, networking, and community partnerships.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
- Coordinate interviews and manage communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain candidate pipelines for high-demand and future positions.
- Build relationships with trade schools, technical colleges, and local workforce development organizations to strengthen recruiting channels.
- Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, candidate source, offer acceptance rate, etc.) and provide regular reporting.
- Support employer branding initiatives, recruiting events, and community outreach efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company hiring policies.
Primary Recruiting Focus
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will primarily recruit for positions supporting manufacturing, assembly, and field operations, including :
Skilled Trades & Hourly Roles : Technicians, Fabricators, Machinists, Welders, Electricians, Painters, Material Handlers, and Yard personnel.Support & Operations Roles : Production Planners, Quality Inspectors, Warehouse Staff, and Maintenance Personnel.Professional & Technical Roles : Engineers, Supervisors, Purchasing, Logistics, and Administrative Support.Compensation & Benefits

Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.2-4 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or skilled trades environment.Proven success managing multiple open requisitions and working closely with hiring managers.Skills & Competencies :
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.).Knowledge of trade labor markets and community recruiting strategies.Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced setting.Understanding of recruiting compliance and employment law.Proactive, resourceful, and committed to delivering results.Work Environment
Primarily office-based within the manufacturing facility, with regular collaboration across production, operations, marketing and HR teams.Occasional travel may be required for job fairs, campus events, or community recruiting initiatives.
