Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary :

This position is a unique opportunity to be a member of a fast paced, highly skilled, collaborative Design / Mechanical Engineering team. This position actively participates in the design, CAD drafting, along with the development of files required to prototype and manufacture all applicable Parabit products.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Create custom mechanical CAD components
• Update existing mechanical CAD drawings
• Create components for our 3-D modeling design tool library, referencing manufacturer's specification using Solidworks
• Use logic, mathematics, reasoning, experimentation, analysis tools, physics, calculus, and written communication skills to analyze and solve complex mechanical designs
• Remain current on leading-edge CAD technology, new materials, manufacturing processes and their potential application to our manufacturing facility
• Maintain file creation and versioning storage specifications
• Document all daily actions by completing, maintaining, and submitting time-logs by project
• Research best materials and design approaches for the development of parts / assemblies
• Develop part / product renderings
• Use company standard K factors while creating accurate solid models
• Create CNC files
• Perform other related duties as assigned
