PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Nashville, TN 37207 (Tennessee nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1440 - $1550 per week

On-Site Position

PCU RN Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, or acute care nursing setting

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Ability to adapt quickly and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

PCU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Progressive Care Unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes

Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and nursing interventions

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
