Role Description : Axway SecureTransport Subject Matter Expert (SME)

The Axway SecureTransport SME is responsible for managing and optimizing secure file transfer processes within enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in Axway SecureTransport (version 5.5) and strong technical proficiency in both Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server (2019 and above) operating systems.

Core Responsibilities

SecureTransport Administration

Create and manage user accounts, routes, subscriptions, and shared applications.

Configure folder structures and file routing setups for secure transfers.

Upload, generate, and manage PGP keys and login keys; import keys provided by external parties.

Deployment & Coordination

Manage SecureTransport deployments in on-premises environments (Windows and Linux) and cloud environments within Microsoft Azure (Linux).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders, to guide secure transport setup requests.

Best Practices & Optimization

Review the current SecureTransport environment and recommend standards, process improvements, and automation opportunities.

Implement best practices for security, efficiency, and scalability.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve issues related to SecureTransport and underlying OS environments.

Develop and implement monitoring processes to ensure system health and performance.

Required Expertise

Extensive hands-on experience with Axway SecureTransport 5.5 .

Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux and Windows Server 2019+ administration.

Experience managing deployments in Microsoft Azure environments.

Proficiency in secure file transfer protocols and encryption standards (PGP key management).

Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.

Experience in process optimization and automation within SecureTransport environments.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with enterprise security standards and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft SQL for tasks related to data management and troubleshooting.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to document processes and provide clear guidance to stakeholders.
