Responsibilities Work in a short term acute care hospital setting providing therapy services across medicine, surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary, and oncology units Primary focus is on inpatient patient care Monday through Friday day shifts from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, with flexible start times up to 8 : 00 am Required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every 4 weeks, receiving a day off during the applicable week Floating required within any therapy service line in the facility No floating to sister facilities No on-call required Uses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience required Black or grey scrubs required Assignment length is 13 weeks Responsibilities include assessments, documentation, patient and family education, and implementing safety and injury prevention strategies Role involves working with a broad variety of patient populations and conditions First-time travelers are accepted for this position Orientation is provided at the start of the assignment Parking options are available with monthly passes provided during orientation Permanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Travelers can stay for up to 18 months with a subsequent 3 month break required, or 12 months for allied staff with a 6 month break Must pass fit testing, with facial hair requirements for mask seal No local candidates are accepted within a 75 mile radius Requirements Valid state license for the assignment location is required; license required if applicable BLS certification is required Minimum 1 year of recent acute care physical therapy experience Experience across a variety of patient populations and clinical specialties is preferred Strong communication skills required Ability and willingness to float within service lines as needed Must reside outside a 75 mile radius of the facility EPIC charting experience required No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment No more than 7 days of RTO permitted within a 13 week contract Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624101.
