Summary :

The Insurance Producer - Trucking is responsible for generating new business and managing existing accounts within the trucking and transportation industry. This role requires a strong understanding of the unique insurance needs of trucking companies, owner-operators, and related businesses. The Producer will actively prospect for new clients, develop tailored insurance solutions, and provide exceptional customer service to build long-term relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Prospecting and Lead Generation : Identify and pursue potential clients through various methods, including cold calling, networking, referrals, online marketing, and industry events.
• Needs Assessment : Analyze the insurance requirements of trucking companies and owner-operators, considering their specific operations, cargo, territory, and risk profile.
• Solution Development : Develop and present customized insurance proposals that address clients' needs and offer competitive pricing. This includes working with various insurance carriers to find the best fit.
• Sales and Closing : Effectively close deals and secure new business, meeting or exceeding established sales targets.
• Account Management : Manage and service existing client accounts, including policy renewals, endorsements, and handling inquiries.
• Relationship Building : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and other industry professionals.
• Policy Placement : Work with insurance carriers to place coverage and ensure accurate policy documentation.
• Claims Assistance : Assist clients with the claims process, including reporting claims and providing necessary documentation.
• Market Knowledge : Stay up-to-date on industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes within the trucking and transportation sector.
• CRM Management : Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities using a CRM system.
• Compliance : Adhere to all applicable insurance regulations and company policies.
