The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week), eligible for remote work and benefits, and requires frequent travel approximately 2-3 times per month.
Position Purpose : The Clinical Practice Specialist-CSI leads the development, review and validation of acute, progressive, and critical care nursing content for AACN’s products and services such as the CSI Academy. This faculty position works collaboratively with internal and external experts and stakeholders in the provision of innovative, standard-setting, and cost-effective products and services. Position works independently and without close supervision.
Main Accountabilities :
Ensures effective systems to bridge strategy with the execution of policy, advocacy, and liaison activities.
Working with internal and external stakeholders, builds a resource network to support a variety of content expert needs
Actively engages in environmental scanning to bring current perspectives and issues important to nurses and the healthcare environment
Synthesizes information from environmental scanning and shares with internal and external stakeholders to inform AACN’s work
Strategizes and collaborates to envision new products, programs and services, ensuring the perspective of current nursing practice and issues are integral to the planning and design
Assesses needs for internal and external resources requirements for projects
Develops and implements processes to ensure the right people with the right competencies are selected for each project
Acts as liaison / facilitator with project consultants and community groups
Provides leadership in ensuring content quality and integrity for clinical products, programs and services.
Working collaboratively, establishes and maintains systems for content quality assessment of new products and review of existing products
Ensures accuracy, context and relevance of clinical content used in products
Leads content, program and services, identifying needed updates
Ensures products and services are consistent with national standards and AACN mission, vision and values
Acts as a resource to the AACN community regarding practice issues, engaging the appropriate processes and groups to address these issues
Develops, mentors, and delivers feedback to volunteers and clinical experts in order to support their professional development and contributions
Collaborates with internal / external stakeholders to lead CSI cohorts as national faculty.
Supports and facilitates participant’s projects, providing the overarching perspective to ensure projects remain aligned with AACN project goals and objectives
Develops and / or collaborates on project schedules and budgets aligned with internal and external resources, coordinates to meet project goals, and manages project plans to closure
Facilitates phase 1 meetings and work, organizes and leads cohort sessions, supports the work of participants including consultation / mentoring meetings as needed.
Apply technology solutions to support the development and representation of our content, products, services, and interactions with the community.

Skills Required :
Proven project management, with emphasis on planning, design, launch and evaluation of programs

Proficient or able to quickly learn various business, project, and productivity software (examples may include : Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and SmartSheet)
Demonstrates emotional intelligence and political savviness
Education and / or Experience :
Master’s Degree in Nursing required; CNS or MHI - MS in HC innovation preferred.
Holds unencumbered RN licensure in the United States
Creation of successful new initiatives that meet or exceed organizational objectives
Experience leading change management initiatives at the unit or organizational level, delivering innovative programs that met or exceeded strategic goals
7 years’ healthcare experience with a minimum of 5 years experience facilitating, teaching, and educating nursing and / or leadership content to broad audiences.
Experience in progressive or critical care nursing

Total Compensation :
The target pay range for this role is $118,577 - $148,222
