About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Manager to join a growing wealth management and advisory firm. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who thrives on building strong client relationships, providing high-level tax and planning advice, and leading a team in delivering excellence across compliance and advisory services.

The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and client-focused-someone who can balance tax expertise with proactive, consultative guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the technical tax expert on client advisory teams, delivering strategies aligned with client goals.

Lead and manage tax compliance engagements, including final review and signing of federal and state returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.

Oversee tax planning, projections, and audits to ensure clients receive comprehensive, proactive guidance.

Attend and contribute to client meetings, presenting tax plans and recommendations in a clear, professional manner.

Collaborate with financial advisory teams to integrate tax planning into broader wealth and business strategies.

Supervise, coach, and mentor tax professionals; provide consistent feedback and professional development support.

Contribute to new client onboarding and relationship development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA, JD, or EA required. Master's in Taxation preferred.

5+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning, including individual, partnership, fiduciary, estate, and gift tax returns.

Strong knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, and tax pronouncements .

Proficiency in tax research and planning tools (BNA, RIA Checkpoint) and tax preparation software (CCH Axcess or similar).

Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, and Salesforce is a plus.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing tax teams.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients clearly.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
