About The Position

Job Title : Anesthesia Technician

Location : Wausau, WI

Department : Anesthesia Services

Contract Length : 13 Weeks

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours / week

Shift : Variable 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday

Charting System : EPIC

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Anesthesia Technician to join our team on a 13-week travel contract. This position supports our Anesthesia Providers across a variety of specialties with a key focus on our Cardiothoracic Program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in high-acuity settings, particularly trauma Level II, and experience supporting complex procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Assist anesthesia providers with preparation and setup for surgical procedures

Operate and troubleshoot anesthesia-related equipment

Set up and assist with central lines and Swan-Ganz catheter placement

Provide support for cardiothoracic procedures

May be required to float to other Central Aspirus locations (e.g., Aspirus Merrill, Medford, Langlade, Stanley)

Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety regulations

Qualifications

Minimum Experience :

2 years as an Anesthesia Technician (REQUIRED)

Trauma Level II experience (Highly Preferred)

Experience assisting with central lines, Swans, and cardiac cases (REQUIRED)

Travel Experience :

At least 1 prior travel assignment (REQUIRED)

Certifications : BLS (AHA) – Required

ASATT – Preferred

Education :

Graduation from an Anesthesia Technology Program – Preferred

Equivalent relevant work experience – Accepted
