Overdose Helpline Operator

A company is looking for an Overdose Helpline Operator, General Internal Medicine (per diem).

Key Responsibilities

Manage incoming calls from individuals seeking assistance, providing guidance on overdose recognition and response

Connect callers with local resources, including treatment centers and support groups, to promote long-term recovery

Document each phone call interaction in the REDCap database and collaborate with other professionals for effective intervention

Required Qualifications

Relevant lived experience with overdose, harm reduction, or substance use preferred

Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism

Comfortable using helpline software, databases, and digital communication platforms

Strong commitment to treating all callers with empathy and respect

Must adhere to confidentiality policies regarding caller information
