Position Overview
The Chicago White Sox are seeking a Major League Analyst to support our ML coaching staff with data-driven insights for game strategy and player development. You’ll translate data into actionable recommendations that directly impact Major League decisions and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with R&D team to create / translate model outputs into strategic insights
- Generate advance scouting reports analyzing opponent tendencies and matchups
- Create presentations and visualizations for pre-series meetings with coaches and players
- Conduct player development analysis and prepare dugout materials for in-game use
Required Qualifications
2-3 years in baseball analytics or a related fieldExperience with baseball data & tech (Trackman, Edgertronic, TruMedia, PitchCom)Strong proficiency in SQL, R, and / or Python with experience building web applicationsDeep understanding of baseball strategy and statistical conceptsExcellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with athletes and coachesBachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fieldProfessional or collegiate baseball operations experiencePlaying background, ability to support on-field work (BP throwing, hitting fungos, etc.)Demonstrated independent baseball researchSchedule
Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel
Spring Training travel and all road trips throughout the major league season.

Compensation
$60,000 – $65,000
