Responsibilities

• Assist technical writers and supervisors by receiving tasks, supervision, and guidance on all assignments.
• Conduct research and prepare drafts for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related publications.
• Organize research materials and assist with writing assignments, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and proper style and terminology.
• Draft revisions and maintain records of technical writing work and revisions.
• Review work methods, procedures, and equipment operation and maintenance data.
• Observe activities with production and engineering personnel; read journals and reports to familiarize with product technologies and production methods.
• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications to understand technology and production processes.
• Select appropriate visuals and assist in layout for publication, collaborating with production teams.
• Perform word-processing and duplication of materials; may draft speeches, articles, and public releases.
• Work independently on designated recurring tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7- or 10-year minimum background investigation.
