Position Summary :

The role of the Project Engineer is to execute and finalize engineering designs for residential, commercial and public land development projects. Project Engineer should have experience in site / civil design, AutoCAD, Civil3D and other appropriate design software. Project Engineer should work well in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Prepares plans, specifications, reports, permits, and designs for project.
  • Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.
  • Understanding permit requirements and processes.
  • Coordinates with design team including staff from multiple locations and / or disciplines
  • Coordinates with Clients and jurisdictions to obtain project approvals
  • Assist in developing probable construction cost estimates for projects.
  • Assists in preparing project budgets.
  • Mentoring and training staff engineers or other entry level employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications :

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years' experience in Civil Engineering related to Land Development
  • PE License preferred. Must be able to obtain within six months
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Proficient with other engineering software required in area of expertise
  • Work requirements :

  • May require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 10-30 pounds
  • Ability to walk construction sites
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data.
  • Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work- related errands or to attend meetings may be required.
