Overview
Our client is a highly respected, growth-oriented Richmond based company seeking an experienced Project Manager who brings strong field understanding, proven project leadership, and excellent written communication skills. This is not an entry-level or foreman-to-PM transition role. We're looking for a true PM professional who has successfully managed complex construction projects from planning through closeout.

What You'll Do
- Manage all phases of projects to ensure schedules, budgets, safety, and quality standards are achieved.
- Review and track load tickets with exceptional attention to detail.
- Build and maintain accurate project schedules, effectively sequencing activities for efficiency.
- Coordinate seamlessly with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Prepare and review RFIs, change orders, subcontract agreements, daily reports, and closeout documentation.
- Lead project kickoff meetings, routine progress updates, and post-construction reviews.
- Oversee procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Monitor field activities and proactively resolve conflicts, delays, and safety concerns.
- Maintain organized project records, track costs, and update forecasting tools.
- Identify ways to improve workflows and self-learn new systems, technologies, and processes as needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally—strong writing skills are essential.
What You Bring
Minimum 8 years of verifiable Project Management experience in roadway, bridge, site development, parking lot, or vertical construction.Exceptional written communication skills —professional email communication is a major component of this role.Strong sequencing and scheduling expertise; experience with construction-focused software tools.A self-driven, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to learn unfamiliar tools or concepts quickly.High school diploma or GED required; no college degree necessary.Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and the ability to make timely decisions.OSHA 30 or similar safety certification preferred.Professional references required.
