Our client are a global leader in the gaming and lottery industries, providing technology and services for casinos, lotteries, and online gaming. Founded in 1973, the company has evolved through various acquisitions and innovations, focusing on enhancing player experiences and improving operational efficiencies.

They are now seeking a Senior MySQL DB Administrator to join their team of experts.

Responsibilities

  • Provision MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
  • Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
  • Prepare documentations and specifications
  • Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
  • Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Project management and customer interaction

Experience & Skill

  • Backup and recovery strategies
  • Experience in database software management (patch and version management)
  • Good scripting ability and good working knowledge of Shell Scripts, Perl or Python.
  • 24 / 7 Support of Production DB's
  • SQL
  • VMware
