The "Plant Systems" group consists of Engineers and Designers from Structural, Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines.

The Plant Systems department consists of 15 team members of which 2 are E&I compliments (inclusive of this one). Each engineer in this group is a lead engineer who manages our "production" group located in Chenna, India.

The plant systems group report to the Plant Systems Engineering Manager.

The group is responsible for the full and comprehensive development, engineering, design and integration of complex mineral mining systems consisting of both proprietary FLSmidth equipment as well as external / 3rd party vendor equipment to create complete mining minerals processing / handling solutions to our clients.

Your responsibilities

• Participation in Engineering Manpower and / or engineering equipment cost estimates for the FLSmidth proposal's team.
• Participate in compilation of engineering project schedules.
• Manage the Electrical and instrumentation staff required for the project execution in terms of budget, scope execution, manhour consumption, quality and correctness as well as scope changes / variances.
• Engage and manage 3rd party Electrical & Instrumentation consultants and / or suppliers.
• Work closely with FLSmidth automation where applicable and ensure alignment between Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation.
• Participation in procurement activities associated with E&I equipment.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Professional registration is beneficial)
• 5+ years of experience in the minerals mining industry
• Record of successful delivery of complex plant systems type projects in the mining and minerals industry.
• Capability to lead and direct international intercultural teams
• Ability to build and maintain good relationships on all levels with customers and internally
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written (Spanish literacy will be beneficial)
