As a Expert Platform Product Manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Align Digital Platform by advancing the digital services available to multiple Align solutions. This position will be located in either Austin, Texas or Raleigh, NC. The vision for the Align Digital Platform is to connect those that seek dental care directly with dental providers, integrate various imaging devices, Align's state of the art proprietary software technology for 5D visualization, Big Data and AI-driven diagnostics, and treatment planning and monitoring. This enhanced platform will offer a streamlined and integrated experience to key stakeholders including consumers, patients, general dentists, orthodontists, dental lab technicians, dental service organizations, universities, and public hospitals. In this role, you will… Focus primarily on Shared Platform Services (Identity, Anonymization, Observability, etc.) Develop an understanding of the Align Digital Platform and the variety of solutions to which it provides services, including the value delivered and the users and consumers of those services. Develop a strategic roadmap for associated platform services and drive development and launch of solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Manage a backlog of required features and collaborate with Development, Platform teams to deliver functionality according to development, QA and compliance standards and processes. Coordinate with product teams (Invisalign, iTero, Exocad) to drive the changes across teams. Research and document the market and competitive landscape to take advantage of opportunities to drive value to customers and the business. Evangelize the strategy and development rationale to stakeholders to achieve alignment of purpose. Build business cases which support multi-year revenue projections, COGS estimates, market objectives, and strategic objectives (as relevant). Lead cross-functional team members to develop, socialize, and create buy-in of the business justification and solutions that will address the customer needs and opportunities. Establish tradeoffs between internal development and partnership activities - including contract negotiations and maintenance, product changes, forecasting and financials. Foster a collaborative, cooperative, and supportive team environment. Be intellectually curious, technically savvy, and maintain a sense of humor and humility. Despite possessing a remarkable product intuition, decisions must always be based on data and evidence and must be always communicated transparently to stakeholders. Think on your feet and efficiently debate the validity of a given approach for any aspect of projects or features or products under their control. Proactively seek opportunities to develop professional knowledge and abilities. In this role, you'll need … Degree in a Computer Science related field preferred, or relevant work experience. 12+ years' working experience on technology-powered products as either product manager, product owner or product engineer of SaaS products. Proven ability to think with a platform mindset, considering not only platform value, but also indirect end-user value, by enabling all other products to be more impactful. Product Management expertise, including market trends / analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, requirements, product life cycle management. Leadership skills to lead teams and shape / lead growth vision and strategy. Innovation – develop and execute new ideas through collaboration. Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams. Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers. A background in Identity and access management concepts is preferred. Knowledge of and ability to utilize formal agile methodologies, disciplines, practices, and techniques for the product delivery.
