SK109 - Housekeeper/Nanny - Oklahoma City, OK

Overview

A lovely single parent family in Oklahoma City, OK is looking for a full-time, live-out, housekeeper / nanny. The family consists of a single mother by choice, a 4-year-old boy, and a baby due in March.

The family does have a nanny, so this position would be primarily housekeeping and lending a hand with childcare if needed during times when the nanny is on, and primarily childcare / being the extra set of hands on the weekends with mom.

The general schedule will be 36 hours per week, Wednesday through Sunday, with the weekday schedule as 11am-7pm, and the weekend schedule as 9am-3pm.

Job responsibilities for the housekeeping include, but are not limited to, general day-to-day housekeeping and tidying of the family’s 5-bedroom home, cleaning of all rooms- bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen- laundry, ironing, dusting, vacuuming, occasional errands such as grocery shopping, helping with organizing closets, toys, etc, keeping track of household stock, helping manage people coming in to do gardening or repairs, helping with basic meal prep for the week, and preparing snacks and lunch for the kids, and dinner for the family.

Job responsibilities for the childcare include helping mom with the kids, engaging with them, helping with dinner, bath, and bedtime when needed.

This position would also include helping at the mother’s parents’ house down the street in a limited capacity about 4 hours per week.

The ideal candidate is responsible, flexible, patient, organized, has a positive outlook, and can maintain an open communication.

Someone who can be proactive and be a self-starter, but also know how to take gentle feedback, and can sense when to step back and be a team-player.

Someone who is friendly, has a calm demeanor that would mesh well in the calm household, and who can be an encouraging part of the children’s lives is ideal.

Candidates must be local to Oklahoma City, have a valid driver’s license, and be up to date on all vaccines including COVID and all boosters.

The hourly rate is based on experience, with the standard benefits of 2 weeks’ vacation, sick days, and holidays offered.
